The Cabanas Connection Foundation Scholarship Program

The Cabanas Connection Foundation is committed to supporting the next generation of aspiring attorneys and legal professionals through educational scholarships. These awards provide direct financial assistance to eligible students pursuing legal studies, ​helping to reduce the burden of tuition and related educational expenses.

We welcome you to follow the steps below to apply for a scholarship from The Cabanas ​Connection Foundation:

  • Determine Eligibility – Review the eligibility rules below. Applications from individuals not meeting all criteria will be declined.
  • Submit Your Application – Follow the instructions at the bottom of this page to submit your scholarship request.
  • Application Review – Any requests for additional information, as well as final decisions, will be sent to the contact provided in your application.
     
    Please note: The review process may take up to 90 days, so we encourage you to apply as early as possible.

Eligibility Rules

You are eligible to apply for a scholarship if:

  • You are a U.S. citizen or legal resident currently enrolled in, or accepted to, an accredited law school, pre-law program, or related legal studies program in the United States.
  • You demonstrate financial need and a commitment to entering the legal profession.
  • You maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 (or equivalent).
  • You have volunteered with The Cabanas Connection Foundation or are willing to commit to volunteering with the foundation during the scholarship period.
  • You have not previously received a scholarship from The Cabanas Connection Foundation in the past academic year.

Your application will not be eligible if:

  • You are not pursuing a career in law or a related legal field.
  • You are applying for non-educational funding.
  • You intend to use funds for purposes unrelated to tuition, books, or direct educational expenses.
  • You are applying on behalf of another individual or organization.

  • Show a strong commitment to advancing social equity through the legal system.
  • Demonstrate leadership in community service, particularly in underserved or vulnerable populations.
  • Exhibit a clear passion for using their legal career to promote justice, equality, and access to legal resources.

How to Apply

All applications must be submitted through our online application form. Paper or emailed submissions will not be accepted.

You will need the following information to complete your request:

  • Proof of enrollment or acceptance at an accredited program
  • Most recent academic transcript (unofficial copies accepted)
  • Personal statement explaining your motivation for pursuing a legal career (1,000-5,000 words)
  • Two letters of recommendation (professors, legal mentors, or community leaders)
  • Documentation of financial need (FAFSA summary or equivalent)
